The Majella National Park is one of the three wonderful national parks of Abruzzo between the provinces of Aquila, Chieti and Pescara. The Majella has always been considered sacred by the Abruzzese or linked and connected to the concept of magic and motherhood probably for its majesty and impenetrability but at the same time its sweetness and its elegant sinuosity.
By virtue of these characteristics, the Majella is courted by myths and legends linked to the origin of its name Majella, which currently has not yet found an explanation.
The trabocchi are fishing machines on stilts, which according to some testimonies should be credited to the Phoenicians. In reality we do not know exactly when the overflows date back, the sources are rather uncertain. Whatever their origins, it is certain that we are talking about really special structures, which offer an incredible panorama. They stand out against the blue of the Adriatic Sea, and arouse great emotions.
